Week 1 - Abortion and the World         Thursday, Feb 4th    

What are the facts and figures? Since abortion was made legal in the UK in 1967, what has become the usual practise and how common is abortion? What are our society's perceptions of abortion and how is it presented? What are the personal stories (both men and women) which lie behind the statistics? What are the long-term consequences of abortion? Stories and testimonies from individuals.

Week 2 - Abortion and the Church       Thursday, Feb 11th

Abortions was common in New Testament times. How did the early church respond? What can we learn? How have Christian communities and individuals responded to the challenge of abortion over the last 50 years. How have Christians been personally affected by abortion? What's the balance between grace and truth in response to this issue?

Week 3 - Abortion and the Bible       Thursday, Feb 18th

What does the Bible say about the unborn child and about parenthood? At what point in development is there a human person? How can we apply a biblical understanding to the complex issues underlying abortion in our society? How can painful experiences of abortion be redeemed by God's grace. More personal stories.

Week 4 - Abortion and Me         Thursday, Feb 25th

What if I've had an abortion? What if a close friend or family member is considering abortion? How can we help, what should we say? Men and abortion - what's the difference? What opportunities are there for practical involvement?
