During this course we will consider some of the significant events that have shaped and revived the English church : What was the theology that gave life to the church and who were those who gave their lives for the church? What can we learn about being faithful in our own generation? 

Week One : Reformation Questions : Why is the church worth dying for? How do you recognise a legitimate church?

Week Two : Reformation Issues : Scripture and Tradition, Leadership and Every Member Ministry

Week Three : Evangelism, Awakenings and Social Action : The Legacies of Wesley and Wilberforce

Week Four : Do We Stay or Do We Go? : The Challenge of Liberalism and the Unity of the Church
