Apprentice Scheme
The All Souls Apprentice scheme has been developed to both resource the ministries of the church and to give more intensive training to men and women showing leadership potential.
The scheme is designed for those who are already involved in serving in their local church and who are recognised as having potential for future leadership and gospel ministry. Apprentices would often have had some life experience following full time education (although some maybe recent graduates). Apprentices may go on to vocational Christian work or to more active lay leadership within the church. We would expect that the majority of apprentices would already be members of All Souls. However, outside applicants are welcome to apply.
The Main Components of the Scheme
-
Formal study: Wednesday morning trainings focus on studying and teaching the Bible, understanding and applying Christian doctrine and discussing practical ministry issues. Also: personal project, national conference and study week.
-
Ministry experience: On-the-job experience working primarily for one of the church ministries.
-
Practical service: Some basic set-up responsibilities to serve the church family.
-
Mentored supervision: Regular mentoring with a member of staff.
-
Life management: Commitment to grow in personal devotional life, time management and other spiritual disciplines
