What is Christianity Explored?

Christianity Explored is a course for people who'd like to investigate Christianity.  Developed over ten years by Rico Tice, Christianity Explored examines who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him today. 

Who is Christianity Explored for?

Christianity Explored is for anyone who has questions about Christianity - and who would like to find out answers to them.  It doesn't matter if you have just started coming to church, or if you've been going to church for years.  Whatever your circumstance, if you would like to find out more about Christianity and what it means to be a Christian, then this course is for you.  (Click on Guest Services to hear recent sermons preached leading up to the CE Course, to help enquirers.)

What goes on?

At the main midweek Wednesday night course, supper is provided (for which there is a small charge) at the start of the evening at 7pm in the Dining Room next to the Waldegrave Hall, underneath the Church.

After supper, there is a talk designed to explain an aspect of Christian belief and to stimulate discussion.  There are group leaders who will help - and answer questions.  (The course is designed to give you a relaxed opportunity to study first hand the Christian claims.  You are welcome to ask any question you like or simply sit back and listen to others ask them.  It is not the sort of course where you will be asked to read aloud, never mind to pray or sing.)  Details of other CE courses taking place during the week are available on the link page listed in the next section.

How long does the course last?

The course normally runs for 10 weeks.

How much does the course cost?

Nothing - except for a small contribution towards food provided.

Do I have to bring anything?

No, all course materials are provided.
