An overview ....
Sundays each week provide the opportunity for the All Souls Church Family to come together for Services - to worship, to study the Bible, to pray together, to encourage one another.
Visitors welcome ....
Many attending Services are visitors to London. We trust you will feel welcome whether you are from the UK or from another country. As an international congregation of over 60 nationalities it is a privilege to welcome Christian friends into the church family at Services, as well as others who are simply curious to know more about Christ and His relevance to life today.
Style of Services
There is a relaxed formality to our Services in the context of prayer and worship. Bible teaching is a key part of our coming together. All Souls has been known as a church where the Bible is taken seriously for many decades - from even before John Stott was Rector for 25 years. The current preaching team continue to unpack Bible passages so we can grasp their meaning for the original hearers and also be equipped to live as God's people in today's world.
These sermons are all recorded and are available as an online resource to download or receive as podcasts.
Music
This varies from the All Souls orchestra to a smaller group of instrumentalists, from choir to soloist. Visit our music section for more information.
Length of Services and other information
Main services last about 75-80 minutes and a leaflet gives an order of all the necessary words, while Bibles are also provided. Refreshments are available afterwards in the Waldegrave Hall and this gives a good opportunity to meet with the church family more informally. Also, the All Souls Media and Resources Centres are open after each main service.
