Melinda joined the All Souls staff team in August 2007 as Associate Minister for Small Groups. She is from Boston, Massachusetts, but has lived in London since 1998.
Being brought up in a Christian home, she heard the Gospel from an early age and made a commitment to serve Christ as a young person. "The church I grew up in had a great children's and youth ministry, and I don't think I can ever repay those who faithfully taught me the Bible as a child and teenager. Not only did I come to know Jesus for myself through their witness, but I also grew as a believer through their teaching."
After school, Melinda attended Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, where she did a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies. From there she went on to study at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary for a year prior to coming to London where she did an MA in New Testament at King's College. Following this, she joined the 'Workwise' project helping final year university students and recent graduates to think biblically about workplace issues. Then in 2003, she joined UCCF as the staff worker for theology and religious studies.
"My real passion is helping people to understand the Bible better and through this to grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus. It's a great privilege therefore to be working with small groups at All Souls where Bible teaching is central."
She is married to Ross and they share a mutual love of art, theatre and good food with good friends. Fortunately they also share a passion for Melinda's baseball team, the Boston Red Sox!
